Lao Aur Kheer from La Kheer Deli

Have you heard the saying, “Complexity is impressive, but simplicity is genius”? The team behind La Kheer Deli is a perfect example of this.
A very famous Indian rice pudding, Kheer is rich and creamy and literally prepared in every household. And the LKD guys have brought this to the Puneites in 4 awesome flavours along with some chocolaty and fudgy brownies. It’s like the best of the dessert worlds from the East & West have come together at this food cart!

With 4 Kheer flavours available, from the Dry Fruit to the Nutelloreo to the Brownie and to the Gulkhand..you have the most delicious options to choose from! My personal favourites were the Brownie and the Dry Fruit! You could literally get the chunks of the brownie and a few dry fruits too in the Brownie Kheer..so its crunchy and chocolate filling and a perfect after dinner dessert whereas in the Dry Fruit Kheer, its loaded with dry fruits (obviously) making this my other favourite! The other two flavours – Nutelloreo had crushed dry fruits, oreo and was layered with Nutella and the Gulkand had real rose petal preserves and dry fruits and you could get the aroma of the roses too.
The brownies were probably the best part of this food cart (ok fine, everything was good!) – Moist texture, chocolate fudge chunks, perfectly chewy, well balanced and so good that I managed to take 4 of them and got them for free! Sweet deal!

BTW, these guys also give you seeds that can be used with the box and you can plant them! Reminds me of the Moonshine Meadery guys! And don’t forget to see the backside of the packaging. That’s a surprise for all of you to discover on your own! 🙂

Not a review but a random visit to this place made my evening just perfect with my closest friends and I loved the experience! Do go and have these kheers!

P.S. – The food cart is right in front of Starbucks, Aundh and is available on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 8 PM – 11:30 PM.
